Pupsicles

Published on: Jul 25 2012 by margo

Summer is a great time to cool off with frozen treats. We felt our furry friends needed a cool down too, so I made these delicious pupcicles using chicken broth, water, dog food, and sticks from the yard. The dogs scarfed these down so fast I barely had time to take pictures! Once the “pupcicle” melted, they enjoyed the chewy stick that I placed inside.

What you need:

Sticks

Water

Low sodium chicken broth or stock

Ice

Dog Food

Popsicle trays or ice cube trays

Use the twigs as the popsicle sticks. Pour 1/2 part water and 1/2 part chicken broth into the popsicle or ice cube trays. Place some dog food into the popsicles and freeze, and you’re done! This is an easy craft you can do on a summer afternoon to help your little loved one cool off!

Great idea….seems like it could be even better if you use the rawhide sticks/dental chews instead of just regular sticks from the yard….then pups can lick the popsicle and chew/eat the stick!

  4. How sweet! My dogs would love this.

I wanted to let you know I nominated you for the Liebster Award! YAY!
You can read about it on my blog here:
